We pride our business and ourselves on supplying sustainable top quality seaweeds

About Us

Our names are Paul Houston and Simone Rankin owners of East Coast Seaweeds NZ Ltd, currently trading as P&S Seaweed Harvesters and have been established for 20 years.

Due to being impacted through covid P&S is expanding the business to gain Market diversity, adding value, create employment and potential opportunities for our local schools to be involved through gateway programme and fundraiser opportunities.

Our business is a family affair, our kids have been raised on the beach eating and playing with seaweeds and have worked in the business from a young age, still today they their partners, our whanau and friends help out in the business when they can.

As well as creating our own employment initiatives from wild harvest seaweeds we have been able to open opportunities for other families living in rural coastal communities to collect seaweed using our beach cast permit and have done so for the last 18 years. We have been fortunate to meet some awesome whanau that joined our team of East Coast Seaweed Collectors throughout the years.
